Sam Stosur has coasted into the second round of the WTA Qatar Total Open after a straight set win over New Zealand’s Marina Erakovic.
Stosur romped to a 6-4 6-2 victory in just one hour and six minutes over the 50th-ranked Erakovic, smacking eight aces and winning 85 per cent of her first serve points.
The Australian will next meet Slovakia’s Jana Cepelova, who beat Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic.
