Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education
The Tennis for Primary Schools and Tennis for Secondary Schools programs have been developed to align to the Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education (AC:HPE). The two content strands, Personal Social and Community Health (PSCH) and Movement and Physical Activity (MPA) as embedded in the AC:HPE are specifically addressed.
The Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education overview of strands, sub-strands and threads can be seen below including the five interrelated propositions that shape the AC:HPE. Tennis has ensured this is at the heart of the tennis programs and meets the requirements of Australian schools.
The General Capabilities outlined in the Australian Curriculum are also considered and identified in our programs resources. In particular there is an emphasis on:
- Personal and social capability
- Ethical understanding
- Intercultural understanding.
