The Pines Tennis Club is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic coach who will make The Pines their home base and work in partnership with the committee to build both their coaching business and club membership (both adult and junior). The Pines is a community tennis club located in the Tuggeranong Valley which has now been thriving for 25 years and has a strong membership base. The facility has 4 synthetic grass courts (all with lighting), including two courts which were replaced in 2010. Additionally the club environment has recently been enhanced with the construction of a new pergola and BBQ area.
The Pines runs a social tennis competition for members two nights per week during school terms and a social junior tennis competition on Friday evenings in Terms 1 and 4. The Pines also fields teams in adult and junior ACT pennant competitions.
The coach will be expected to play an important role in attracting and developing junior members and in the growth of tennis generally through a range of coaching programs including those promoted by Tennis Australia and Tennis ACT.
Coaching Requirements: Juniors, adults, groups, private lessons.
Qualification: Tennis Australia qualified coach – Junior Development minimum with appropriate insurances, First Aid certificate and Working with Children checks.
