Members of the Tennis Australia cardio tennis team visited Canberra on Tuesday 15 November to brief Canberra coaches in the final stages of cardio tennis.

Coaches on the day all agreed that this new style of tennis, which is more about a high-intensity work-out than technique, will be a huge success in Canberra when it officially begins early next year.

“I have been running a cardio tennis program at Kaleen since the beginning of the year and people can’t seem to get enough of it,” Kristine Richardson said.

“The best thing is people are having so much fun they don’t even realise they are working up a sweat.”

Coaches were put through a cardio work-out of their own on the day and agreed on how good of a work-out it was.
