A highly successful open day has been put on by Tennis ACT in association with Calvary Health Care ACT at the National Sports Club over the weekend.

Over 70 people attended the day which included six courts of free coaching courtesy of Champion Team Tennis, who run the coaching at Lyneham tennis courts.

The six courts catered for all ages and abilities, starting from a beginning hot shots level through to advanced level of players.

Tennis ACT’s Anthony Okines ran the day, which was free for all involved, and included a sausage sizzle.

“It was great to see so many people come down and enjoy some social tennis,” he said.

“The main aim we had was to get people socialising and having fun as well as playing some tennis.”
