6 February 2012 | Tennis ACT

On February 11,  Tennis ACT community tennis staff will be at the sports stand and marquee in Garema Place from 10.30am to 12.30pm, followed by a visit from Caps players from 12.30pm to 2.30pm and then Brumbies representatives from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

Minister for Multicultural Affairs Joy Burch said the stars will appear at the festival at ActewAGL’s multicultural sports stand and marquee.

“Not only will there be Capitals and Cavalry players in attendance but we are delighted that representatives from the Raiders, Brumbies, Tennis ACT and the recently crowned premiership winning Canberra United Women’s Football team will also be there” Ms Burch said.

“Anyone who comes along to the festival over the weekend will be able to say hello and take on players at games like Wii tennis and baseball as well as giving their best shot at shooting the hoop, soccer juggling and passing the ball.

“It’s really great that so many of our local sporting heroes are showing their support for cultural diversity in our city through their association with ActewAGL.”
