On 24-26th February Tennis ACT were at the ActewAGL Royal Canberra Show at Exhibition Park in Canberra.
Tennis ACT were promoting the national programs Cardio Tennis and MLC Tennis Hot Shots as well as the clubs and coaches of Canberra.
The mini court created attention amongst the kids and even some adults creating an energetic vibe over the weekend.
It was great to see so many people excited to get out on the court and have a hit.
It was encouraging to hear comments made by parents,
‘Hot Shots has been and is the best thing for my child, he started in term 4 last year and is back this year with two of his friends, and they love it’
‘I wish they had this program running when I was a child, the modified equipment and courts make such a difference’
Many locals signed up for a free trial of Cardio Tennis and were intrigued by the idea of a fitness based tennis program you do not need to be a tennis player for.
Tennis ACT was awarded a ‘Highly Commended’ award for 2012.
