1 March 2012 | Tennis ACT

On February 16th 2012 the Maxim Invitational returned to Canberra for the second time.  Maxim Chartered Accountants host this charity Tennis Tournament annually raising money for a different charity each year. Salvation Army’s Oasis Youth Support Program was selected for 2012.

The event was held Forrest Tennis Club and was run with the help of Brett and Frank from Rising Star Tennis Academy.

The event had twice as many teams as last year with twenty-four teams from local businesses around Canberra. The highlight of the day was former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash was court side to step in as a super sub for one point in exchange for a charitable donation.

The day was a great success. Through the help of the local business community and Maxim Chartered Accountants over $100,000 was raised and donated to the Salvation Army’s Oasis Youth Support Program.

Tennis ACT was proud to be involved in the day, supporting such a great cause. In addition to Maxim Chartered Accountants hosting this fantastic tennis tournament, Tennis ACT are proud to announce Maxim as the sponsor of ‘Talent Stars’, a player development training squad for up and coming and future elite players.

We look forward to being involved in this high-quality event next year.
