On the 14th and 15th of March it was a great pleasure to have Anthony Okines from Tennis ACT visited the Bimberi Youth Justice Centre. Anthony enthusiastically delivered a tennis development program for our young people, many of whom, had never been given the opportunity to have this type of training before.
The Bimberi Young People where engaged by the great technical coaching and a variety of fun games delivered throughout the program. Participants were able to test out their new found skills against each other and also against Anthony (Oki) and Bimberi staff in an inclusive and fun environment.
The Bimberi young people and staff thoroughly enjoyed the session. All young people and staff are grateful of Anthony’s efforts and are hopeful that we will be able to continue to work in partnership with Tennis ACT to deliver more tennis programs in the near future.
