Canberra hosted its first South West Region Medibank JDS on Sunday 17 June.
2012 is the first year that the ACT has been included in the South West region in regard to the MJDS and gives ACT players the opportunity to not only participate in the events but also to accumulate points and be eligible to complete in Champion of Champions and qualify for the State Master’s Final.
58 junior players from around the region competed in Singles events from 10/u to 21/u. Although the rain held off, the weather was rather cold and tough on spectators. All players displayed fantastic sportsmanship and many close results were recorded. Congratulations to all participants!
