A fundraiser was held on August 23rd to raise funds for the ACT Bruce Cup team to travel to Hobart in October.  The Bruce Cup, which is the School Sports Australian 12 and under Championships will see the best ACT players challenge themselves against the best players in Australia.

A 101 team challenge was held on the day, with all players participating in a number of matches.  The highlight of the day was the Bruce Cup team members taking on coaches Alun Jones, Todd Larkham, James Frawley, Jake Eames, and Alison Bai.  The coaches were hit with some tough challenges being forced to play with 21 and 25 inch junior racquets and an eye patch over one eye.  The youngsters proved victorious defeating the coaches in a tight battle.
