There is a big weekend of tennis ahead for the Canberra School of Tennis and Weston Creek Tennis Club with the Tennis Carnivale and a 24 hour Cardio Tennis Challenge taking place.
As part of Tennis Australia’s free tennis days, Canberra School of Tennis and the Weston Creek Tennis Club are running a massive single day tennis event ‘Tennis Carnivale’. There will be free court hire along with free clinics for adults and juniors as well as ANZ Hotshots, Cardio Tennis & Pee Wee Tennis. There will also be a variety of other activities including a giant slides and face painting for kids, jumping castles, radar speed guns, a DJ and MC, as well as a showcase of the latest tennis technology and equipment.
As well as a great day of tennis, the day will be raising awareness and money for the Tristan Knowles kids cancer foundation which assists children who have been diagnosed with cancer through their “Chance to Achieve” scholarships. The scholarships are designed to restore confidence back to the child, kickstart and inspire the child’s motivation to achieve while providing the early foundations of a life-changing event or carrer.

Canberra School of Tennis will also be running a 24 hour Cardio Tennis Challenge that will start on Friday 18th of September at 4pm and conclude at 4pm on Saturday the 19th at 4pm. In an Australian first, players will play through the night in a series of one hour Cardio tennis sessions. Coach, Ben Trudinger will be on court for the full 24 hours and is looking forward to the challenge. Each lesson is conducted by donation (suggested $20) and spots are still available in most sessions. All proceeds of the challenge will go towards the Tristan Knowles Kids Cancer Foundation.
