Spaniards Daniel Munoz de la Nava and Marcel Granollers will open their campaigns at the Canberra $75K ATP Challenger event on Monday.

Seeded 3 and 4 respectively, Munoz de la Nava will take on qualifier Sergey Betov (BLR) while Granollers will take on Australian Blake Mott (NSW). Munoz de la Nava comes into the tournament at a career high ranking of 75. He made 6 Challenger finals in 2015, collecting 3 titles. Granollers, reached a career high ranking of 19 in 2012, and has 4 ATP titles to his name. 7th seed Evgeny Donskoy (RUS) will open proceedings on centre court against Australia’s Daniel Nolan.

A number of other Australian’s will also be in action with rising star, Alex De Minaur (NSW) taking on American, Noah Rubin, while Jarryd Chaplin (NSW), Maverick Banes (Qld), and Steven De Waard (Qld) will all take to the court.

The final round of qualifying was held today with 2 more Australian’s securing positions in the main draw. Steven De Waard defeated fellow Queenslander Blake Ellis, while Daniel Nolan (Vic) beat Nathanael Consalvo (Qld). Jake Delaney (NSW) put up a good fight against top seed Sergey Betov (BLR), but fell in 3 sets. German Frank Moser defeated Gian Marco Moroni (ITA) in the other qualifying match.
