
Canberra’s part in the Australian Summer of Tennis is due to start this weekend, as the East Hotel Canberra Challenger descends on the nation’s capital from 7-14 January.
Facilitated locally by Tennis ACT, the $75,000 Challenger level tournament has attracted some of the world’s best male tennis players including world No. 63 Jan-Lennard Struff (GER) Israel’s number 1 tennis player, Dudi Sela (ISR) and the man with the world’s fastest serve, Aussie star Sam Groth (NSW).
Players will grace the plexipave hard courts at the Canberra Tennis Centre in Lyneham, ready for hot, dry and mostly sunny Canberra conditions the week before the Australian Open 2017.
Entry to the Canberra Tennis Centre is FREE for spectators, with a gold coin donation on finals day – Saturday 14 January.

Seating
Covered tiered style bench seating is available on a first come first served basis.
Tennis Pavilion
The tennis pavilion located in the centre of the site will be an accredited area only for the duration of the tournament. The general public will not be permitted to enter this area.
Canberra Tennis Centre Location & Parking
The Canberra Tennis Centre is located at Riggall Pl, Lyneham. Parking is also available across the road at the National Hockey Centre.
