The past month has seen many ACT players compete in Canberra, interstate and around the world. There were some excellent results by several players, with the most outstanding result coming from 14 year old Annerly Poulos who is currently on a Tennis Australia 14/u tour of Europe.  Annerly reached the final of the 14/U Grade 1 European Tennis Association Windmill Cup, held in the Netherlands. She defeated several highly ranked players, including the winner of the previous weeks event, and won 5 singles matches before going down in a close final.

Annerly is currently representing Australia alongside Lara Walker (Qld) and Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz (SA).  The team managed by Rohan Fisher it taking on the best 15 nations in the world in the 14/u World Junior Teams events finals in Prostejov, Czech Republic.  More information on Annerly’s selection can be found here.

Locally, a number of players participated in the Tennis World Canberra Junior Open held over split weekend in July.  A recap of ACT performances can be found here.
