Top seed Jordan Thompson (NSW) has withdrawn from the Apis Canberra International due to tonsillitis. Thompson has been replaced in the draw by lucky loser Chris O’Connell (NSW) who will take on Andrew Harris (VIC) in the opening round.
Apis Canberra International Tournament Director, Kim Kachel said “Jordan arrived in Canberra and did everything possible to be fit to play, but unfortunately he is unable to take to the court today. We wish Jordan a speedy recovery and hope to see him back in the capital soon.”
