Looking to watch some world class tennis right here in Canberra?  Then the East Hotel Canberra Challenger is the place to be.  Taking place at the Canberra Tennis Centre from January 6-13, the event has attracted top 100 players from across the globe as they complete their final preparations for Australian Open 2018.

How much are tickets?

Entry into the East Hotel Canberra Challenger is FREE from January 6-12.  On finals day January 13, we request a gold coin donation upon entry.

When will play take place?

The proposed schedule of play is below.  The schedule of play is always subject to change, so please check the daily order of play which can be found here

Twilight doubles session

Get down to Canberra Tennis Centre after work on Friday 12th January for the Twilight Session at East Hotel Canberra Challenger. Catch the doubles final, join in on free Fitbit cardio tennis sessions and enjoy a drink or two and some dinner on the lawns. 4pm – 9pm Friday 12 January 2018. Food and Beverage (Mon – Thurs)

Please note, access to the Next Gen Canberra café is for members only.  A limited amount of food and beverage will be available for purchase from the window at the Tennis Pavilion.

 Food and Beverage (Fri & Sat) – Twilight Session Friday Jan 12

For the doubles final [not before 4:30pm] food trucks including Capital Woodfired Pizza and The Italian Traveller will be available. Alcoholic beverages will also be for sale by provided by East Hotel and BentSpoke Brewing Co.

Seating

Seating is available on a first come first served basis. Seating on centre court has shade cover.

How do I stay up to date if I can’t make it down to the tournament?

Live scoring and live streaming will be available here throughout the tournament.

Tennis Pavilion

The tennis pavilion located in the centre of the site will be an accredited area for the duration of the tournament.  The general public will not be permitted to enter this area.

Canberra Tennis Centre Location & Parking

The Canberra Tennis Centre is located at Riggall Pl, Lyneham.  Parking is available across the road at the National Hockey Centre.

Conditions of entry

No spectator may continually collect, disseminate, transmit, publish or release from the grounds of the Tournament any match scores or related statistical data during match play (from the commencement of a match through its conclusion for any commercial, betting or gambling purpose).

The continual use of laptop computers or other handheld electronic devices within the confines (spectator area) of the tournament match courts is prohibited.  The exception to this provision is properly credentialed media, tournament vendors and tournament staff when used in the performance of their duties.

No animals are permitted on site at the Canberra Tennis Centre, with the exception of guide dogs.
