The ACT has posted a strong performance at the Bruce Cup (School Sports Australia 12-and-under Championships) held in Adelaide from 20-27 October, finishing in sixth position.
The team competed hard throughout the week and their efforts were highlighted with victories over Tasmania (13 rubbers – 11 rubbers) and Northern Territory (17 rubbers to 7 rubbers).
Tennis Australia Talent Development Manager ACT, Alun Jones traveled with the team to Adelaide and was pleased with how the team performed during the event
“There was a great culture around the team, highlighted by our motivational talks led by a team member each morning.
“I’m really proud of how the kids competed throughout the week and the way they supported each other through the event.”
