Some of the region’s brightest stars have come together to compete in Season #1 of the Super 10’s competition. Twenty-four boys and 16 girls from the ACT, South East and South West NSW, competed over back-to-back weekends in May at the Canberra Tennis Centre.
Ten local coaches were involved in managing teams on-court, providing valuable advice to the youngsters.
The competition facilitates a culture of fair play, team work, and acknowledgement for athletes 10-and-under.
Tennis Australia Talent Manager ACT & SE NSW, Alun Jones, was impressed with the players performances with the format providing the unique opportunity to have coaches on court.
“The level of competition was very strong, with the best talent on display from the three regions.
“The players receive on-court coaching which is vital for their development.”
