The Forrest Junior Open took place on 3-4 August at the Forrest and Barton Tennis Clubs with almost 100 youngsters hitting the courts. Part of the ANZ Junior Development Series, the event featured singles and doubles events starting from 9/u Orange ball events, up to combined 15/u & open events.
Tournament Director, Andrew Bulley, was pleased with how the weekend went, with the orange ball a real highlight.
“The kids played a lot of tennis, we had six courts going nonstop the whole time.
“The best event for me was the orange ball events, we had 16 kids in that division. We did a warmup and then they played timed matches for about 3 hours. The standard of play was really good.”
