The North Woden Junior Open #2 was held was held on 31 August – 1 September at the North Woden Tennis Club. Part of the ANZ Junior Development Series (JDS), over 100 kids hit the courts for singles and doubles events across a range of age groups.
Tournament director Frank Calabria said it was a great weekend of tennis with the event providing a positive introduction to the tournament landscape.
“We had a number of new participants across the age groups and the new participants seemed to get a great understanding of the ANZ JDS environment and how to manage a competitive tournament match effectively.
“All age groups were relatively close. We saw some amazing matches across all age groups. It just goes to show the ANZ JDS series is a great way to learn and grow in a competitive, nurturing matchplay environment.”
