Rockhampton Regional Council (Council) invites proposals from suitably qualified and experienced operators, for the operation of the Rockhampton Regional Tennis Centre (RRTC) at Victoria Park.

The Operator is required to enter into a Trustee Lease and an Operation Agreement with Council for the preferred term of ten (10) years.

The Operator is responsible for the management and cleaning of the Premises, including (but not limited to):

  • Twenty-four (24) courts.
  • The Clubhouse situated between the northern and central bank of courts.
  • The existing Rod Laver Hall (RLH) and all other associated structures; and,
  • The car park and associated entry/exit roadways (including any future expansion of these areas by Council).

The ideal applicant will have a love of teaching; experience coaching young children, teenagers & adults of varying skill levels; & pride themselves on delivering programs that are the highlight of their students week.

You will be skilled in a range of off court work including coordination and organisation of programs, staff and players. You will demonstrate strong leadership skills and be a good role model & mentor for our junior coach trainees and demonstrate high standards and a great work ethic at all times. Your role will include a combination of on and off court work Monday to Saturday including:

We are seeking an energetic, fun, skilled and qualified coach to run and operate our current coaching program.

This involves coaching all levels from Hot Shots to advanced juniors, Cardio Tennis and Adult privates/group etc. Approx. 20 hours coaching per week plus admin.

You must have:

  • A passion for teaching, admin skills are preferable as there is some admin involved in this position.
  • Very good people skills and able to liaise with all clients of different ages and skill levels.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Engaging and fun personality and teaching style.
  • Be able to work autonomously/unsupervised.
  • Be honest and a reliable worker.
  • Blue card, First Aid/CPR.
  • Own transport.

Ready for immediate start or for Term 4. This is open for discussion.
