Ace Fun Tennis School is looking for Senior and Assistant coaches to join our growing team in 2025. You will be responsible for delivering Hot Shots and Cardio Tennis classes. You will not need to perform any administrative tasks if you do not wish. Full uniform is supplied. License and own transport is advised.

We have 16 coaches coaching everyday and we coach over 480 students at present every week at the 3 venues. We seek committed, reliable, honest, long term coaches with a desire to improve students tennis skills on and off the court.

There is additional development to act as an emergency coach for the adult program when needed. Your hands-on approach and ability to understand the basics of tennis is fundamental, along with the responsibility of devising lesson plans for our coaching team. There’s also an optional opportunity to engage in administrative work, and most importantly, this role offers ample space for personal and professional growth, serving as an excellent stepping stone for those eyeing their future tennis club.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous club management
  • Diploma in Sports Development
  • Minimum of seven years of Sports Development at Club level and Coaching experience
  • Minimum of two years of coaching experience with performance players
  • Relevant certification from a recognised tennis coaching association (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prepared to work flexible hours including working on evenings, weekends and school holidays
  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid Certificate Preferred
  • Finance skills
  • Experience with offering tournament support
  • Development of players preparing to progress to tournament level

Overview

The Victorian Tennis Academy [VTA] is looking to appoint a full-time coach to join our growing team. This person needs to be enthusiastic and a highly motivated tennis professional who can lead, support and develop our coaching program.

VTA operates out of 4 large venues in Melbourne and has nearly 3000 players participating each week in a range of coaching programs including Hot Shots, Cardio Tennis and competitions. VTA strives to deliver inspiring, inclusive tennis experiences and we are looking for an active, fun and enthusiastic team member to create a great all-inclusive environment.

Qualities
• Tennis Australia Junior Development Coach / international equivalent or higher is required (willingness and ability to acquire Tennis Australia’s Club Coach level within 12 months.)
• TA membership inc. Working with Children’s Check, Police Check and current 1st Aid are essential.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for developing people and the game of Tennis.
• Prepared to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
