We operate out of a beautiful 5 Clay Court Venue (under lights) in Glen Iris, located 15mins from Melbourne CBD.

We have a high importance on having a passion for coaching and a desire to continue to improve our delivery of tennis both on and off the court.

The coaching hours will be working within various programs including:

  • Hot Shots (ages 4-12)
  • Junior Groups (ages 13-18)
  • Adult Groups
  • Private Lessons
  • Cardio Tennis

The coach will also be required to work in additional programs such as holiday programs and UTR Tournament / Match Play Delivery (training using the UTR / Tournament system will be provided).

We are seeking an Engaging Senior Coach, to be a part of Slamin Tennis and Fitness, operating in the Eastern Suburbs – Doncaster and surrounding suburbs. This position can be taken on full time or part time, the choice is yours, however all staff are employed as Permanent employees, accruing all leave entitlements and penalty rates.

Position available from Term 3 2024, School Holiday Program work maybe available.

We specialise in the development of players of all abilities form kinder children to high performance players, ladies groups, Hot Shots, Teenagers, high performance adults, effectively anyone who wants to learn the game. We are a very community orientated business, and our tennis community welcomes in all new coaches as part of the family. We are a Club environment, so the relationships within our Club and schools are vital.

The Growth aspect of this role, involves working within our local school environment, building relationships, and engaging more students to try the sport. Additionally, supporting players on their playing journey, making program recommendations, and progressions to facilitate the players ongoing development. Ultimately joining their local club, for social play, and/ or representing the Club, in Club Based Competition.

This position is only available to coaches with working rights in Australia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Expected to participate in all on court programs.
  • Travel between venues, (3-7mins apart).
  • Arrive early to set equipment up and greet students.
  • Actively promote and grow participation numbers.
  • Plan every lesson with purpose and specific goals for student progressions
  • Be confident coaching beginners, children, adults, private lessons, squads and students with a disability.
  • Able to coach fully independently.
