GHTC courts can now be used for doubles and single

Hi to all paid-up Glen Huntly Tennis Club Members,

Great news is that our Courts can now be used for doubles and singles. 

  • At present 10 people may be within court fences for casual play and coaching (plus coach and assistants, plus volunteers supervising the tennis). This limit is likely to be removed soon.
  • Apart from coaching, play is ‘first come first on court’– you’ll have no trouble getting a court, but if they’re all in use and players are waiting, please play up to 20 minutes and rotate (you can soon play again on next rotation).
  • Casual play – Club-organised Social Tennis has resumed on Sundays from 1pm-5pm (we’ll supply tennis balls) and Mondays from 5.30pm.

 

  • The toilets can be used if necessary, rest of clubhouse is closed –Do not use showers, changerooms or kitchen etc.
  • Record all coaching and social players and visitorsfor contact tracing if needed – please put your details in the folder (at the clubhouse veranda or with coach Phil) or email names and contact details to ihlein@optusnet.com.au.
  •  Competition: Will resume shortly for Adults – we’ll advise details as soon as they come in. We’re now preparing for in-house tournament for our juniors – we’ll soon let you know more.

 

  • Night Tennis– We’re also looking forward to resuming night tennis (& possibly Sunday morning 9.30-12).

 Courts are playing well, so pop down to play when you get a chance.
