Last night the psychics on channel 7’s ‘The One’ were challenged to identify sporting ledgends by an item that once belonged to them. The Australian Tennis Museum happily loaned an item from our collection to them for the psychics to prove their worth.
This item was a dress worn by Evonne Goolagong Cawley at Wimbledon in the late 1970’s. It was designed by the famous Ted Tinling.
Contestant Debbie, who was blindfolded, did a fantastic job trying to identify the item. She accurately guessed that the person who wore it was female, from indigenous background and also represented Australia in her sport.
