Local hopes Lleyton Hewitt and Alicia Molik will kick start the Hopman Cup tennis tournament in January against the fourth-seeded Belgium team.
Molik will take on seven-time grand slam champion Justine Henin on the first day of play while Hewitt will get his chance to exact some revenge on Steve Darcis who sealed the Davis Cup tie for Belgium in Cairns last month with a win against Carsten Ball.
Also in the Australian’s tough Group A is the top-seeded Serb pairing of Ana Ivanovic and Novak Djokovic who meet Kazakhstan first up.
In Group B action Great Britain’s Laura Robson and Andy Murray will start their campaign against Italy, while the US will meet France with Serena Williams and Gael Monfils headlining the action.
