The Australian Pro Tour concluded this weekend in Esperance, Western Australia, with two international victories at the Cliffs Esperance Tennis International.
Local talent Brydan Klein (WA) reached his second Pro Tour final in as many weeks, but was defeated in straight sets by No.2 seed Sebastian Rieschick of Germany.
Both players produced outstanding tennis featuring many searching baseline rallies to the enjoyment of over 500 spectators.
In the women’s draw, Sacha Jones of New Zealand dropped only one set in the tournament as she defeated Cagla Buyukakcay (TUR) in the final.
Jones had defeated Queenslander Sophie Letcher in a tightly contested semifinal on Saturday before defeating Buyukakcay in straight sets.
