Australia has named Lleyton Hewitt for the first reverse singles Davis Cup match against China in Beijing this morning.
Hewitt warmed up on centre court at the Beijing International Tennis Centre this morning with Marinko Matosevic who was originally scheduled to play China’s Ze Zhang first up.
After Hewitt’s impressive display with Chris Guccione in winning the doubles, Australian captain Pat Rafter said they wanted to wait until this morning to see how his troublesome foot recovered from the match.
Australia leads the tie 2-1 and will no doubt be hoping to finish China off in the fourth rubber.
Bernard Tomic is scheduled to meet Wu Di in the fifth rubber.
The winner of this tie earns a berth in the Davis Cup World Group Playoff in September.
