Australia has clinched four gold medals at the ITF World Seniors Individual Championships in San Diego, United States.

Jurate Hardy (Vic) defeated Isabelle Tyrell (Great Britain) 6-0 6-2 to win the Women’s 40+ singles title.

Brothers, Michael and Greg Evans of NSW, were too strong for Finnish pair Tapio Nurminin and Ilkka Riikonen, taking the 35+ Men’s Doubles 4-6 6-4 6-3.

Ros Balodis (ACT) and Leanne Swaysland (NSW) defeated Brenda Foster (NSW) and Christine French (Great Britain) 4-6 7-5 6-0 to win gold in the 50+ Women’s doubles.

In the 50+ mixed doubles, Foster teamed with Chris Hearn (Great Britain) to enjoy a 6-4 6-4 victory over New Zealanders, Felicity Oxnevad and Peter Hampton.
