Marinko Matosevic has gone down in the second round of the ATP World Tour event in Washington.
The world No.64 fell in straight sets to German Tobias Kamke, losing 6-4 6-3 in just over 90 minutes.
It continues an impressive run at the tournament for Kamke, who upended seventh seed Benoit Paire in the previous round, also in straight sets.
Matosevic struggled on serve, winning just 53 per cent of points on his first serve and handing the German a whopping 17 break points during the match.
Kamke was able to covert four to help secure a comfortable victory.
