The men’s and women’s draw for the Asia-Pacific Tennis League (ATL) was conducted today under the auspices of Wayne Spencer, Chief of Officials at Tennis Australia and David Bidmeade, player representative for the ATL.

In the men’s draw, the Liston Seagulls will square-off against the Kooyong Classics in a re-match of the Victorian Conference Championships played in early December.

The match of the round on the men’s side is likely to be Gators from South Australia up against the Kauris from New Zealand with young gun Luke Saville taking on the experienced Davis Cup player in Daniel King-Turner.

In other matches, the John Millman-led Brisbane Chargers will take on the Pacific Oceania Dolphins and the WA Giants will take on the might of the ATP Sydney team.

On the women’s side, flag favourite the Freighters (SA) will take on the Sharks, the Classics will take on the New Zealand Tuis, the Blaze (QLD) will match-up against the Steelers (NSW) and in the match of the round the Canberra Velocity will take on the WA Giants.

The Asia-Pacific Tennis League finals will be played at Melbourne Park during the second week of the Australian Open.

Some of our top players from the region will participate in the ATL finals including; John Millman, Jess Moore, Sam Groth, Luke Saville, Bojana Bobusic, Greg Jones and Daniel King-Turner.

Matches will take place during three time slots; 11:00am, 2:00pm and 5:00pm and each team will play once per day.
