Promising Aussie junior Omar Jasika has scored an incredible opportunity – this week the 15-year-old will travel to Europe for a training stint with world No.10 Janko Tipsarevic.
Jasika’s trip has been made possible through a Technifibre and ATP program in which Tipsarevic mentors a selected few up-and-coming juniors, sponsored by Tecnifibre.
Jasika, accompanied by coach Liam Smith, will join Tipsarevic from 8-14 April in Nice and Monte Carlo, before staying on to train further and compete in both junior and professional tournaments in the lead-up to the junior events at Roland Garros and Wimbledon.
Currently the ITF junior No.31, Jasika is the third-highest ranked player of his age in the world, and the youngest player to be invited by Technifibre to participate in the training program in its recent history.
Technifibre is a French-based tennis equipment manufacturer.
