Wheelies win in Brazil

Sarah Calati and Luba Josevski of Melbourne have won the doubles crown at the recent DF Wheelchair Tennis Open in Brazil (18-21 April 2013).
To seal their first international doubles win, Calati and Josevski defeated Isabel Aguirre and Maria Diaz of Chlie 6-7(3) 6-3 11-9.
The Australian women also performed well in the singles competition; Calati reached the final before going down to Brazilian Natalia Mayara 7-5 6-0.
Josevski progressed to the semifinals and fellow Australian Janel Manns of Port Macquarie reached the quarterfinals.
The Australian men also enjoyed some good results, with Sydney duo Keegan Oh-Chee and Jerry Markoja runners-up in the doubles final to Carlos Santos (BRA) and Fabio Padilla (COL), who won 6-3 6-3.
Oh-Chee also had a good run in the singles competition; he progressed to the final before losing to Satos of Brazil 6-3 6-3. Markoja reached the semifinals but exited the competition after a 6-3 6-2 loss to team mate Oh-Chee.
