Tennis Australia will host several Tennis Come and Try Days throughout the Northern Territory for young Indigenous Australians.
These introductory clinics are a great way for five- to 15-year-olds to pick up a racquet, have fun and give tennis a real go.
The first will be staged in Alice Springs, with Come and Try Days to follow in Darwin and Katherine.
The clinics will be attended by National Indigenous Coach Ian Goolagong and will see young Indigenous Australians participating in a variety of fun tennis programs, including Tennis Australia’s kids’ starter program MLC Tennis Hot Shots.

Tennis Come and Try Day clinics are designed to encourage young Indigenous Australians to pick up a racquet, have fun and give tennis a real go, with the aim to increase the number of Indigenous girls and boys playing tennis to help improve their health, education and employment opportunities.
The clinics are run by Tennis Australia and supported by the Australian Government’s Learn Earn Legend! initiative.
This initiative aims to encourage and support young Indigenous Australians to stay at school, get a job and be a legend for themselves, their family and their community.
