Thompson, Saville set up semifinal clash in Alice
Jordan Thompson and Luke Saville have set up an all-Australian semifinal after contrasting quarterfinal victories at the Alice Springs Tennis International.

It will be Australia versus Japan for Sundays final, regardless of the semifinal results, at the Alice Springs Tennis International.
All-Australian and all-Japanese semifinals were set up on Friday at the Central Australian Pro Tour event, with Luke Saville and Jordan Thompson to meet in the first of the final four clashes, and Yuichi Ito and Yusuke Watanuki the second.
Saville was forced to fight to record a 6-4 5-7 6-4 victory over Gavin Van Peperzeel, while Thompson was on court for far less time, leading 5-1 in the opening set before opponent Brendan Moore retired.
In the tandem event, Alex Bolt and Andrew Whittington won their third consecutive doubles title with an entertaining 6-3 6-3 win over Van Peperzeel and Adam Feeney.
