Andrijic upsets Bolt in Sydney

Day 3 of the 2013 Sydney Olympic Park Tennis International #2 saw the biggest upset of the tournament so far as Jay Andrijic beat Alex Bolt.
Bolt has enjoyed much recent success on the Pro Tour with runs to the quarterfinals in Toowoomba, the final in Cairns and the semifinals at last week’s event at Sydney Olympic Park.
Yet he was unable to subdue the 18-year-old Andrijic,who ousted the No.5 seed 6-3 4-6 6-3.
Other seeded players, including [3] Jose Statham (NZL), [6] Yasutaka Uchiyama (JPN), and [7] Luke Saville (SA), progressed to the second round unscathed, while Gavin Van Peperzeel(QLD), Ryan Agar (QLD), Dayne Kelly (VIC) and Yusuke Watanuki (JPN) all secured straight set wins.
The men’s singles first round matches continue on Tuesday, followed by the second round doubles action.
