Last week was a big week of tennis in the Victorian town of Bendigo.
The town hosted some of Australia’s best female tennis players, including world no.10 doubles player Casey Dellacqua, at the William Loud Bendigo International #1 Pro Tour tournament and was treated to an AO Blitz visit.
The AO Blitz activation took place at the Bendigo Bank Tennis Complex, where the tournament is being played. Before that started, the AO Blitz managed to visit a number of schools in the town including St Therese’s Primary School and Kennington Primary School.
Kennington Primary School physical education co-ordinator Luke Monaghan welcomed the visit.
“It was fantastic. All the students were really excited,” Monaghan said. “We ran tennis clinics all day, so every class got to spend about 20-30 minutes playing tennis.”
