Melbourne VIC, Australia, 7 November 2013 | Tennis Australia
The 2013 Asia Pacific Tennis League Vic Conference highly anticipated first serve will be this Sunday 10th November at the spiritual home of tennis the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club.
The stable of star players who have endorsed this exciting competition include former Davis Cup players Peter Luczak and Richard Fromberg, John and Sally Peers, James Lemke, Storm Sanders, and up and coming stars Destanee Aiava and Luke Saville.
The best male and female tennis players will come together as one and be on show at the same venue in a scintillating start to the Vic Conference, in a day not to be missed.
The ATL Vic Conference has 8 club team licence holders in the men’s and women’s competitions the Delahey Reckers, Waverley Warriors, Dingley Dingoes, MCC Stars, RSY Royals, Kooyong Classics, Frankston Firebirds and the Tennis World Taipans.
Each club will be competing for the $6000 winner’s cheque in both the men’s and women’s competitions, and the opportunity to then represent Victoria at the National Playoffs and compete against each other State Conference champion and teams from New Zealand, Asia and the Pacifics, with over $95k prize money on offer.
Tennis Victoria’s Competitions Manager is excited about the quality of the Vic Conference teams ” The 2013 Vic Conference is set to explode, thanks to our star studded line up of players who have signed up for the competition and endorsed this innovative new age league. On paper the standard of the Vic Conference certainly measures up well against other states, and following the success of our own Liston Seagulls being crowned National Champions back in January at the Australian Open, we are confident of another strong showing by our eventual Vic Conference champions. But it will certainly be a hotly contested Vic Conference!”
Let the action begin!
