Soaking rains on Wednesday forced the Australian 18-and-under championships indoors at Melbourne Park.
And once under the cover of the roof, top seed Bradley Mousley went to work on opponent Oliver Ceranic, beating the No.7 seed 6-4 6-4 to finish atop Group A.
Mousley now progresses to the quarterfinals along with fellow top four seeds Harry Bourchier (No.2), Marc Polmans (No.3) and Akira Santillan (No.4).

Semifinal action in the Australian 14-and-under Championships action also played out indoors on Thursday, with second seed Jaimee Fourlis and wildcard Violet Apisah advancing to the girls’ final, and top seed Alex De Minaur and No.4 seed Louis Corker progressing to the boys’ title match.
