Dellacqua and Barty head Day 6 Aussie charge

The dynamic doubles duo of Ashleigh Barty and Casey Dellacqua headline Day 6 of the 2014 Australian Open.
Aussies will be in action in men’s, women’s and mixed doubles as well as the legends and juniors events.
The fifth seed Barty/Dellacqua combination come up against Hungarian Timea Babos and Croatian Petra Martic in their second-round match.
Barty and Dellacqua made no less than three Grand Slam finals last year and this is a great opportunity to get out and see one of the best current female doubles pairings on the planet.
In other Australian women’s doubles action, Monique Adamczak teams up with Olivia Rogowska for their round two match against 14th seeds Julia Goerges and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova.
Samantha Stosur will partner Russian Svetlana Kutznetsova as they look to progress to the third round against the French pairing of Alize Cornet and Caroline Garcia.
The final Australian in action in the women’s doubles is Jarmila Gajdosova who links up with Croatian Ajla Tomljanovic against the German duo of Annika Beck and Andrea Petkovic.
In the men’s doubles, Alex Bolt and Andrew Whittington will come up against third seeds David Marrero and Fernando Verdasco in their round two encounter.
Storm Sanders and Chris Guccione will launch their mixed doubles campaign when they clash with fellow Aussies Jarmila Gajdosova and Matthew Ebden.
The legends event also kicks off on Day 6 with the Australian duo of Joshua Eagle and Andrew Florent taking on a couple of Swedish stars of yesteryear in Jonas Bjorkman and Thomas Enqvist.
Day 6 will also showcase some of Australia’s future talent, with 15 of the nation’s most precocious players on action as the boys’ and girls’ singles events kick off. Sara Tomic, younger sister of Bernard, will head the Aussie charge as the thirteenth seed, the highest of the Australians on display tomorrow.
