Australia’s Jarmila Gajdosova is in action at this week’s BMW Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur after being awarded a wildcard into the main draw.

Gajdosova, currently ranked 302nd, lines up against Taiwan’s Su-Wei Hsieh in the first round.

It’s a tricky prospect for Gajdosova, with Hsieh a former world No.23 and currently the world’s second-ranked doubles player.

Yet the 26-year-old comes into the match in good form, having qualified recently at the Family Circle Cup in Charleston and stretching top 40 star Elina Svitolina to a third-set tiebreak in the first round.

The winner of the match between Gajdosova and Hsieh faces a likely second-round battle against top seed and world No.10 Dominika Cibulkova.
