Nenad Zimonjic has given a glowing assessment of mixed doubles partner Sam Stosur following their victory at Wimbledon.

The Wimbledon mixed title was until now missing from the Serb’s collection, something he thanked Stosur for helping him finally achieve.

“First time I’ve seen Sam (play) was in Australian Open when I lost to her in mixed (in 2005) I said, ‘I have to ask her. I have to play with her. She’s going to be a great partner’,” he revealed.

“I’m glad I had the second chance and I’m glad we’re sitting here (in press as the champions).”
