US Open boys’ singles and doubles champion Omar Jasika has been awarded a wildcard into next week’s Malaysian Open.

The ATP 250-level event, held in Kuala Lumpur, will be the Australian junior’s first appearance in the main draw at a tour-level event.

Twice previously he has contested qualifying at the ATP Halle tournament.

IMG Tennis confirmed the news via its Twitter account on Wednesday.

Jasika will join fellow Australian young guns Nick Kyrgios and Bernard Tomic in the main draw.
