Tennyson Volt Men’s:
The Tennyson Volt debuted last season, finishing the round robin in a very impressive third place. Feeling the pressure at their home tie final, the Volt were unfortunately defeated in the third place playoff. Coming into 2014, the team will look to use this memory to motivate them into victory this coming December at the Queensland Tennis Centre.
The Volt boasts some of the biggest names in Australian Tennis including former Junior World Number 1 Jason Kubler, JP Smith and Ben Mitchell. It will be on the back of these star players that Volt fans rest their hopes, but it will be take the strength of every member of this promising team to take the leap into finals contention.
Tennyson Volt Women’s:
The Tennyson Volt women’s squad enjoyed a great debut season, finishing third in the conference, led by the play of team MVP Monika Wejnert. Like their male counterparts, they will be looking to learn from their maiden year and bring some new moves to the court to claim the 2014 title.
The Volt have been very aggressive in their recruiting, bringing in a number of new players including Emma Hayman, Madita Suer, Olivia Rich and Daniela Kovacevic to bolster the squad.
