Each day we’ll be featuring a player who is one to watch throughout the December Showdown and into the Australian summer. Today it’s Jeanette Lin, who will contest the girls’ 14/u Australian Championships final.
Born in China but raised in Australia, Lin relocated from Adelaide to Melbourne in 2014 to base herself at the National Academy at Melbourne Park.
A strong, flat-hitting, aggressive player with a good tactical brain, she has honed her competitive instincts the past two years through European junior tours.
Lin represented Australia at the World Junior Tennis Finals in the Czech Republic this year.
As the top seed at this week’s girls’ 14/u Australian Championships final, Lin has stormed through the draw, not dropping a set and conceding just 19 games en route to the final where she will face Violet Apisah.
