All eyes will be on Pat Rafter Arena tonight as the Brisbane International ramps up with two blockbuster matches for the Australian contingent.
While Bernard Tomic’s meeting with teenage sensation Thanasi Kokkinakis will hog the limelight, the match that follows looms as a huge test for another Aussie hopeful.
Wildcard Jarmila Gajdosova will take on the tournament’s number two seed, world number five Ana Ivanovic, who will be keen to get her 2015 campaign off on the right note.
Elsewhere at the Brisbane International, Japanese sensation Kei Nishikori gets his first taste of on-court action this year when he faces American Sam Johnson in the lunchtime fixture.
Afterwards, Nishikori will team up with Ukraine’s Alexandr Dolgopolov to take on Australian pair Chris Guccione and Lleyton Hewitt in the doubles.
Play begins from 11am AEST.
