Australia qualifies for World Finals
Australia’s Junior Davis and Junior Fed Cup teams have qualified for the World Finals in Madrid, Spain after both defeated their respective opponents in sudden death quarterfinals in Shepparton.

Australia’s Junior Davis and Junior Fed Cup teams have qualified for the World Finals in Madrid, Spain after both defeated their respective opponents in sudden death quarterfinals in the Asia/Oceania final qualifying event on Saturday.
The Junior Davis Cup team beat the Philippines 3-0, while the Junior Fed Cup squad posted a similar whitewash of Indonesia.
The World Finals will take place in late September.
To determine final competition placings, the Aussie boys will next play eighth seeds Hong Kong in the semifinals at Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club; top seeds Japan will play No.3 seeds Chinese Taipei in the other semifinal.
Meanwhile, the girls will play No.4 seeds Japan in the semifinals at Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club, with New Zealand taking on fifth-seeded Chinese Taipei in the other semi.
