Sydney to host Indigenous Young Leaders’ Camp

Tennis Australia has announced six applicants selected to attend its Indigenous Young Leaders’ Camp in Sydney between 14- 17 September 2016.
The players attending this year’s camp – Trent Marlin, Adrian Foster, Corey Clarke, Krystal Clarke, Lily Bougoure and Tiarna Rowlatt – have been selected from the Evonne Goolagong Foundation’s National Development Camp.
The Indigenous Young Leaders’ Camp will present a unique opportunity to celebrate and reward Indigenous students who have shown commitment to furthering their tennis development, education and citizenship. The camp is designed to develop skills in areas such as leadership and cultural awareness.
Students will take part in a range of activities including attending an Australian Davis Cup team training session, ANZ Hot Shots coaching development programs, school visits and attending the Davis Cup tie – across an action packed four days.
The Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group Play-off between Australia and Slovakia will take place from will take place on a purpose-built grass court installed on Ken Rosewall Arena at Sydney Olympic Park in Sydney from 16-18 September 2016.
