It was an exemplary serving performance from the duo, who did not face a break point during the one hour, 18 minute match.
They sit on top of their round-robin group alongside Raven Klaasen and Rajeev Ram, who lost exactly the same number of games as Peers and Kontinen in defeating top seeds Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert.
Peers and Kontinen will face Klaasen and Ranm in their next encounter, scheduled as the first match of the Wednesday afternoon session at The O2.
