Jarmila Wolfe calls time on tennis career
Wolfe reached the world top 40 in both singles and doubles, clinching the Australian Open Mixed Doubles title in 2013.
With a “very heavy heart” Jarmila Wolfe has announced her retirement from professional tennis.
Wolfe reached the world top 40 in both singles and doubles, whilst winning two WTA titles at Hobart International and the Guangzhou International Women’s Open during a fine career.
The 29-year-old made her Grand Slam debut at Australian Open 2006 and represented the Aussie green and gold in Fed Cup as well as the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Partnering Matt Ebden in 2013, Gajdosova triumphed on home soil once again at the Australian Open to lift the Mixed Doubles title.
Injuries have taken their toll, prompting Wolfe to make this decision, and Tennis Australia wishes Jarmila all the very best in the future.
